Praise be to Yahweh

On March 29, 2020 my husband and I found out that we will be having a new addition to our family. Our local hospital confirmed that we have a baby on the way! Although this news came as a shock to us, we are equally as excited to meet our little one in several months. This news serves as a recollection for us that even in uncertainty, God is the certain counterpart. He is worthy to be praised. This post will encompass the important role parents play in planting the seed of salvation and why it is more valuable to focus on the eternal security of their children.

Tested by Fire

God allows several trials to come upon His people and the earth and has been since the beginning of time. He allows trials to be discipline or to develop perseverance in His people. With the outbreak of the Coronavirus (or COVID-19), there are no new perils for the eternal God. All suffering He endured on earth and is familiar with every heartache. Some trials will be judgment while others are meant for testing. This post will cover Isaiah 43:2-3 with an introduction of the Gospel at the end.

Taking Thoughts Captive

Thoughts are defined as "an intention or a hope of doing something," according to Oxford Dictionary. The Biblical definition is found first in the Old Testament and then in the New Testament. The word used in the Old Testament is "machashebheth," from the verb "chashabh," meaning "to think."
